Bees For Building FAQ

The BeeHome™ is an AI- and robotics-powered hive that provides bees with continuous monitoring and care. It works by capturing high-resolution images of the colonies and applying computer vision analysis to detect potential issues. When intervention is needed, the BeeHome’s robotic arm can remotely take action. The result is healthier bees, increased pollination activity, and stronger local biodiversity.

Each program includes the installation and maintenance of one BeeHome™ at your site, annual impact reporting, and access to a dedicated site login. Branded honey and engagement events are available as optional add-ons.

BeeHomes™ collect a wide range of data throughout the year, including colony health, pollination activity metrics, and the number of bees saved on your property.

We position our hives at least 20 feet away from foot traffic and onsite equipment. All placements include safety signage clearly visible from multiple directions.

We offer a variety of hive options that can be tailored to best fit the specific needs of your site. The BeeHome™ is approximately 11 feet long, 4.5 feet wide, and 3.5 feet tall. It can be placed at ground level or on elevated structures such as rooftops, parking garages, or marine platforms. Off-ground placements may involve additional installation costs. If your site is not suitable, our team will help identify alternative options.

A BeeHome™ can hold up to eight colonies. For Bees for Buildings, we consider the surrounding forage and foot traffic to determine the optimal number. Typically, each BeeHome™ is populated with two colonies.

Currently, Bees for Buildings is available throughout the continental United States.
